Got my first real chance to use the new Nikon V1.

I took the Nikon V1, along with the Nikon 1 10-30mm lens, and SB-N5 flash to the New Orleans with me for the 2012 Professional Photographers of America Convention, ImagingUSA.

The Nikon V1 proved to be an excellent camera. Truly a camera I could take with me anyway, and hardly notice I even had it! I carried it on a Thinktank belt system with just the Hubba Hubba Hineypouch. This pouch provide plenty of room for the V1 with the lens, and the SB-N5. It left plenty of room to add the 30-110 lens at some point.

I was able to capture some great images with a Nikon V1, all hand held, in the dark, but dynamic French Quarter in New Orleans!

I shot the camera in Aperture priority most of the time, but frankly auto selector mode would have been just fine.
